I doubt there's much of a connection between hairloss and seborrhea.

what is the name of the medication they are researching?

They're not researching, i think you can get it already, it's called isotretinoin. I might try it to help clean up my scalp... it's a bit too oily for my taste.

Follicular filaments were reduced by 66 %

What's a follicular filament?

Isotretinoin is the active ingredient in Accutane--

It destroys sebum production... that could be a reason for the follicular fillament reduction.

im sure many people have taken it here, but i was on accutane about 8-9 years ago. sometimes i wonder if that had anything to do with my hair loss.

Is this attitude a kind of pigheadedness?

Is better name hair follicle or pilosebaceous unit?

No, we don't have a full understanding of male-pattern baldness yet. We know that it has something to do with testosterone and DHT.

Just take your finasteride!

They aren't causally related. They're just associated with each other indirectly: androgens suppress scalp hair follicles, and androgens stimulate sebocytes. In other words, hairloss and seborrhea do have an instigating factor in common (androgens), but one doesn't CAUSE the other.

Related, associated??? ….
But, why androgens only affect at certains scalp hairs?
Problems with sebum are very related/associated with problems with androgens, but what is before, androgens or sebum+

“The pillow guyâ€￾

Touched.

BTW, You also sleep, don’t you?
