How much hair can really be restored using FUE? And how do people not feel anxious?

I have been doing some research into FUE as FUT just seems way too risky with the huge scar and the fact hair transplants are limited in what they can do given donor supply.

FUE sounds more appealing given the scars are more subtle and easier to hide if you need to go shorter in the future. From what I have seen, hair transplants tend to work best for the hairline. Is this the general consensus? What about some mild to moderate thinning for the crown? Would FUE get the job done?

But then hair transplants in general beg the question of would you not always be living in constant anxiety that even if you're taking meds, the crown and other areas will continue to lose hair? Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences related to this? I have heard hair transplants will come no where near restoring full density to the hair and that they only provide an illusion. Is this correct?

There seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there and from the hair transplants I have seen of actual people blogging on youtube...the results look pretty subpar and always leave the hair extremely thin unless its just the hairline being restored.

My opinion is that hair transplant's are good if you are a very good candidate. I.e. you knoe what your long term hair pattern is and you know you have enough hair to cover it with your hair characteristics. Unfortunately most people don't know those things unless they are either already quite bald or are well into middle age (at which case hair maybe becomes less important anyway).

So yeah they are limited. I am convinced that a lot of guys with hairline transplants now in their 20's and 30's will regret it greatly when they're older.
