How Much Extra Strain On Your Liver With Finasteride?

Im not convinced anything works besides finasteride so I am debating finally throwing in the towel, and starting it soon.
How much strain does finasteride put on your liver? Is it the equivalent of a like a shot of alcohol per day for it to break down the drug, and could that over many years amount to any liver damage?
IDK if it matters, but its not worth hurting my liver to save hair.

If I were you I'd just invest interest into topical finasteride. Looks to be finally coming over the hill of trial & error.

Yeah its probably a better option, but price is always a big factor for me. If generic internal propecia costs 10 a month, and topical costs 200 a month I might take the risks to save that kind of money personally.
What brand of topical finasteride is commonly available though? Its not approved yet is it?
