brett michaels, kevin dubrow, michael angelo? Holy cow your digging into the past, one that I would like to keep buried.

Your right about having yuor hair anyway you want but come on, that looks frigging awful! Are you guy gonna tell me you wanna look like Kim MItchell down on his luck? He doesnt have the "I dont care" attitude with that doo, he has the "Im in denial about my hair" look going on. Call me shallow and vain but having hair that long with nothing on top makes him look like he belongs in a bad sword and wizard movie. lol

I also found Kerry to be a little self involved but thats what was funny about him. You gotta admit he makes the band, after all he rights just about all their songs and writes most of the lyrics. Im just too old to hear that much anger anymore.

Devin Townsend has more talent in his toe jam than Kerry ever did. Kerry is a good thrash guitarist and writes some decent metal, but it gets old fast. It's the same crap time after time again, and the new sh*t isn't even any good.

Now Devin is versatile as hell, can sing circles around 99% of singers out there, and can outplay Kerry's wannabe satanic ***.

Devin isn't in denial.. he jokes about his loss all the time, and the poor guy wants to head bang to the incredible music he writes.. he wants to have that "crazy" personna and he does.

Being in denial about your loss is wearing a wig or hat wherever you go and deny any claims about lost hair. Growing your hair long like that (and no it isn't a COMBOVER) is saying "I don't give a f***". We can all learn something from him.

If you don't like it, then don't sport the skullet =).. but don't think you know anything about the man without at least talking to him.

Your comparring apples and oranges. Two different styles of music. But an opinion is an opinion and nothing more. Like I said Slayer is way to angry for me to listen to anymore unless Im lifting weights. I also play guitar and have been for 15 years, I met Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci (all nice guys by the way) and I love their kind of music but you cant say they are better than the Kerry cause they all have their own way of playing and some guys are stronger writers for one style than another.

I still think the guys hair looks awful and he obviously knows it too otherwise he wouldnt be joking about it. I also read an interview with Scot IAn from Anthrax. He was asked if he missed his hair, the answer was "yeah...sometimes." The guy still made the best diecision to shave it as it suits him just fine.

David Lee Rith is the biggst Jackass when it comes to hair. He got a transplant then had all his new hair chemically bleached- it looks so horrible, the guy needs to get a clue. He is so out there that groupies wont even f*** him anymore...

If Kirk started using minoxidil in 1990 that would have made him 25. He didn't look like he had any hair issues back then at all! The 'tallica boys are gearing up for their 40's and they all kept great hair throughout their thirties. Having the hair they do today is an amazing achievement and it proves that along with Maiden (hair WELL into 40's) they are the greatest of all time.

i hate to bring back an older topic but i hadn't had a chance to get online and reply. i was looking through some old magazines and noticed a picture of dave mustaine from 1999 and he was really starting to thin up front. then around 2001 from a television interview on vh1 he didn't look as thin up front. maybe it's my imagination, but he could've had some work done on it or something.

I'm not really comparing apples and oranges. Have you heard Devin's music? You obviously haven't if you think i'm comparing "styles".. Devin is all over the place with his music. Everything he does is different and is some of the most original sh*t i've ever heard in metal. Kerry has just kept recycling the same riffs for 20 years now.. Big Difference.
