I'm curious, because I want to know if people are trying their hair loss products on other areas of their body to make sure that they are not developing hypersensitivity reactions. Any such response would exacerbate the male pattern baldness process and promote an unhealthy scalp environment.

I hear way too many stories on hair loss forums from people that have constant itching and inflammation even with the use of 5AR inhibitors and other internals. That really doesn't make much sense, so I'm wondering if some men aren't simply having reactions to their hair loss products.

do inflammation and itching go hand in hand? My scalp is never really itchy at all.

sh*t, I don't know. Last time I visited my derm he said my scalp looked fine. I'm getting lot of itching though with the minoxidil. Gotta try it on my hand to see if it gets red.

i get a green mouldy substance spouting out of my scalp after i apply miox. there are some small shrubs forming on the temple area too but i dont think im allergic.

grow hair grow - id bet its the kirkland thats making you itch. i used to itch like hell when i used it but ive been fine since ive switched to regaine and the foam. kirklands much greasier and maybe theres more ppg in it im not sure.

Yeah I think I will lay it off, it itches most of the time. I think the derm even mentioned that there's some redness on my crown (where I use Kirkland). Gonna start using the foam on the crown aswell to see if it rids the itch.

I've got inflammation and itching totally under control, now. I played around with a lot of stuff before I got a healthy scalp environment, but my shedding is back down to normal now. Having a healthy scalp is absolutely necessary to fight hairloss.
