how many hairs do we grow

for a person who does not have male pattern baldness how many hairs(new hairs)are grown each day,if the average person loses say 70 hairs a day he should grow 70 back shouldn't he?

Its probably nearer to a few hundred. After all there are 10'000s of hairs on a human head. With m.p.b the resting cycle of the hair increases and hairs also grow back in a miniturised state.
