I am 28 and I have decided to get a FUE for the first time. I slowly started losing my hair 2 years back, which indicates me that my baldness is progressing at a steady and more or less slow rate. At least it appears that way. I have a receding hairline, but on the crown everything seems okay. See the photos below!

The donor area seems normal, with good density and strong hair.

So, how many grafts do you think I should be considering?

2000-2500 grafts, get on finasteride before you opt for a procedure though. Look into some proficient doctors with your hairtype for hairlines like Keser, Diep and Erdogan. Look at Keser in particular, his hairline design being among the best in the world and he's an expert at smaller end hairline cases like yours.

Am i a candidate for hair transplant?

no, not at all... you are not on ANY preventative medication. You will continue to lose behind it and you have NO idea at which rate. You looked kinda like me in my late 20's. I wasn't on finasteride and ONE SMALL transplant has completely destroyed my hair. DO YOU RESEARCH. YOU ARE NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE, UNLESS you have stabilized your loss on finasteride and minoxdil for at least 18 months. preferably 2 years.

I suggest you to start finasteride and see if there is any satisfying regrowth
You might not even need a hairtransplant

Do i need too combine finasteride with minoxidil? Or just finasteride will do
Just finasteride will help you maintaining what you have and might regrow some hair on your hairline
Take biotin,omega3 aswell....so that the blood which will flow to your scalp is full of nutrition which helps promote hair growth
Minoxidil's efficacy is only for two years so don't use minoxidil
Maybe you won't need a transplant

Minoxidil's efficacy is not only for 2 years

That stat is based on a study without the supplementation of finasteride or an anti-androgen to save the follicles

Nah, not worth it yet! I don't think he has significant hair loss. He may well have later on so better to have it done when it becomes noticeable. You don't know yet how it will progress if at all.

Hair transplantation is the procedure to transplant the hair from one region of the scalp (specifically from the back side of the head) to the front or side blocks of the hair line. There are many types of hair transplant procedure such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), FUT (Follicular unit transplant), PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) etc. to treat hair loss problems in men and women.

When the word hair comes to our mind what does one feel? Black, coarse or silky texture which would vary on the basis of age, sex and geographical region where one is present and living. Presence of hair has always added an extra dash to the personality of men and women since early ages. Imagining one's personality without hair is pretty depressive and upsetting unless one is Howie Mandel~! Though few of the ailments related to hair loss can be treated with home remedies or medicines, most of the hair related issues can only be solved by a proper investigation of the ailment and then corrective measures after that, the most common being hair transplant.

Specific Sneak Peek on Hair Transplantion-

Hair usually grows in a grouping of 1-4 or 1-5 hairs. Though outdated techniques like FUT (follicular unit transplantation) are still in use, new techniques like FUE, PRP, bio fiber and DHT (Hyperlink daliyo) are in the growing trend due its cutting edge tech and unbelievable results.

Japanese dermatologist Sasagawa Okuda, Tamura and Fujita are credited with developing modern hair transplant procedures using small auto grafts which had hair follicles for correcting scars and alopecia.

Hair Loss Causes

Other Causes of Hair Loss

50 to 100 strands - As per American Academy of Dermatology people across the globe lose 50 to 100 strands of hair on an average basis due to lifestyle changes.

Non Heredity - Having uniformity in size of hair follicles and sudden hair loss is not related to heredity issues. It's usually the effect of bad medication.

Cosmetics - Heavy and ignorant use of dyes, chemical treatments, bad brushes, blow dryers, and flat irons may lead to severe issues related to hair loss.

Innovations in Hair Transplant Procedures and treatments

Innovations in hair transplant methods have been in rise due to people's preference and choices which has seen improvement in the hair growth and follicle strengthening effects

Usually the hair is transplanted from the back of head (donor) to the front of the head where the hair is less or has started to go bald. The only reason behind this procedure is due to presence of thick and strong hair at the back end of the scalp. But FUE procedure is more preferred amongst all patients due to its simple and scar less technique.
