How long will 5AR be affected after stopping propecia?

Some sources I have read say 1 month, which is a little scary considering this is only Propecia. I used to think about Avodart until I heard the half life of the drug itself was about 1-2 months, and thats not even talking about how long 5AR is affected after discontinuation. I imagine its quite a long while since I think its been reported that dht levels return only to 25% of what they originally were after 1 year of discontinuing avodart.

Any opinions? Propecia's half life is only a few hours, but what about its effects on 5AR, how long will this continue after stopping the drug? Does it depend on how long you were on it in the first place?

Getting back to only 25% after 1 year seems like an exaggeration to me.

After stopping finasteride, it takes about 1 to 2 weeks for blood levels of DHT to get back to normal. That's all you really need to know.
