I had great results with minoxidil without finasteride for 2 years (2015-2017) then it just stopped working, lost everything I gained, and my hair gets thinner than ever, that's why I start to take finasteride (I'm close to 2 months now). Noticed that my hairfall decreased noticeably due to finasteride but I can't really tell if minoxidil is still doing its function and help for regrowth, haven't noticed any thickening or growth yet since, but I still continue using it.
