How long for regrowth...

Hi all,

I've been on propecia and Rogaine foam for about two months now. I have had a large shed and my hairline has got even worse since I started on the meds but I realise shedding is all part of the process. Now after reading other posts on the forum the general consensus is that you have to shed in order for newer/stronger hairs to come though. NOw my question is how long does it take for these to appear?

To start seeing vellus-like hair within the first 10 days is quite possible. Flaming people left and right due to thy own ignorance will not change that.

you cant see regrowth in 10 days....I been on the foam for like 10 months and finasteride for 20 days..havent seen regrowth yet..........they say you should give finasteride a year to see visible change in the apeerance of your hair.

look, we all know how these treatments can affect people in remarkably different ways, to just blanket say its impossible for anyone is BS - maybe 1 in a million does get some regrowth in 10 days - i believe first.

hmmm now these responses are a little confusing - I'm after your own experiences as to how long it took for you to start regrowing after the first major shed...

I'd be tempted to say that noticable regrowth on finasteride after 10 days is pretty unlikely, even with a great responder, stranger things have happened though.
I was sensitive to it and my hairloss seemed to pretty much stop after a week or two and lasted for months, it began to start and stop but overall I seem to have done well, I'm sure that I've experienced regrowth, especially at the back, the front still slowly disapears but at a much much slower speed.
I actually noticed small hairs from minoxidil within a week or two, even though they carried on to grow fast and generously over time they never showed signs of becoming normal hairs, the whole process became too much for after a several months so I stopped.

regrowth w/foam -> 3 weeks for first signs of vellus to show up.

I've not had a shed yet and have had what I think are excellent results. I saw visible results
in about two weeks and at two months was amazing. But I think for some reason I'm a good responder.
And I'm on more than finasteride.
