How long does Propecia start to work? 3 weeks so far

Hello, I wondered how long Propecia starts to work. I put myself off after reading the potential side effects but finally started on it, and have been on for about 3 weeks.
I've noticed little side effects apart from a little less libido, but my hair hasn't shown any signs of stabilizing. I'm not optimistic enough for regrowth but to keep what I have would be absolutely amazing.


I've been on minoxidil for 2 years or so but it's only given me some feeble hairs on the front.

Give it at least 3/6 months. I also started fina 3 weeks ago along with minoxidil and nizoral shampoo. I have noticed a few new hairs growing today (less than 10).

For me it took around 6 months to see any slowing down with finasteride.

Thankyou Squirrell. How often do you use nizorial and did you start them the same as finasteride?

And 10 hairs.. that's a start. Hope it leads to many more!

I started minoxidil like 9 months ago i think, to be honest I am not sure I got any results from it. And 3 weeks ago decided to start finasteride.

Did you get any sides? For the first 2 days i got testicles ache (second day did really hurt). From day 3 nothing.
