since dutasteride blocks 99% of the DHT, wouldn't it technically work for life unlike finasteride in which the other unblocked 15% can eventually cause damage. I'm a diffuse thinner btw.
Tbh, I think there is a good chance I can maintain for life on finasteride. But the answer is no one knows because the drugs have not been out for that long. Spencer Kobren, for example, has maintained a lot of his hair after about 25 years. And he only takes one 5mg finasteride pill per week.
Furthermore, castrates have around the same percentage of reduced DHT production as a finasteride user, Google it! Obviously castrates are different because they don't produce testosterone, but the DHT levels are pretty much the same as finasteride users. Castrates don't lose hair after being castrated. Therefore, dutasteride may be overkill.
I wish to God at there was something that could maintain for life, but I doubt finasteride or duta do that. They don't work at all for lots of guys, let alone halt hair loss for life.

I don't understand how dutasteride cannot stop hair loss in almost every guy. The science behind it would make it seem like it's almost impossible to lose. I've never seen an account with pictures of someone really losing significant ground on dutasteride
