It seems Propecia, Rogain Foam and Nizoral is what I should be doing. Which ones should I purchase and where can I get them online? Is generic Propecia ok?

Thanks!

I agree..

However....we never take shots at people hair here and you came close.

It's ok, I figured I would get some shots considering this is the internet and everyone is Superman online. I put up photo's of myself because I was sincerely seeking advice on how much time I had left before I went completely bald. I would think most of you would understand and most of you did, save one.

If thats happened over the past 5 yrs then I would say its not too long before the look of still having some hair becomes impossible to maintain. Probably less than 2yrs.
I think if you buzzed it now you'd look pretty bald it seems its only the length thats helping to cover your scalp.
You may not be totally slick bald but they'll be pretty much nothing to show. :(
I think you've left it pretty late to start treatments but hopefully you could maintain what you've got.

Musician .. that usually doesnt happen here so dont sweat it. Though i dont think any harm was meant. Just a misplaced joke. Ok.. come back to us with photos that arent so close. Dont put any product or water in either. Maybe some details of age etc and how your balding has went throughout the years. Lots of people will help you out. Take a read through the success stories and try find someone with loss like yourself to see what could be achieved.Try searhing for jeob or joeb.He started at about where u r

Here is a bunch more, just out of the shower and it's wet so you can see the full effect.

I think you are already there . sorry . no one can say how long will it take to lose the rest . you can lose 90% of what you have now in a year or the situation can remain the same more or less in the next 10 years . you should start treatments cause you got nothing to lose . check this guys thread :

What really matters is how old you are...
Is there someone in your family with a similar pattern of hairloss? Thats usually a decent clue.

Just shave it all off,get a tan, alternatively book yourself in with an hair transplant doctor. No seriously it might not look to bad shaved or cut down to a grade 1 or 2 with clippers.
How old are you,if your getting on it becomes more the norn anyway.

I can't believe the negativity this guy is recieving. Dude, many people here have had dramatic results with finasteride, minoxidil, and Nizoral. You already know this, so get the heck on them!! I would at least trim the hair short. Not everyone looks good with a q-balled head, but triming it short can really make a thin head of hair look better, and I think you might have outgrown the shoulder length hair anyway.

If you're going to start treatment, remember the three P's: Patenice, Pictures, and Proven treatments. If your afriad of finasteride sides, do what I did and start with a low dose and graduate youself upwards. I started with .25 mg and now am on .75 (going to the full 1 this week!). Read the Success thread to keep your hopes up and be positive but also realisitic. You're probably not going to be as lucky as SE-Freak, but I think you'll surprise these haters here if you start now. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, hopefully we'll hear from you in 6 months with a forrest of hair.

I for one don't think all hope is lost. He's still got a ton of small miniaturizing hairs that may respond to treatment. I think the bottom line is that since he has longer hair it looks a lot worse than it is. If MJ9 came on here with that length hair and that amount of hairloss at first we would have told him the same thing and he's had a dramatic improvement for about the same type of hairloss.

Please note I'm not talking about the loss in the back that looks to be a bit slick, that may be too far gone but the front looks fairly promising if he's a responder. I say start treatments and see how it goes.
