How Long Do I Have To Wait To Wash My Hair After I Apply minoxidil?

Hello,

I'm using minoxidil foam and was wondering how long I had to wait until I could wash my hair again. Currently I only use it once a day right after I shower. I apply it after towel drying my hair so it's nice and damp. It dries on my hair after about an hour or so but I was wondering if I had to wait longer to wash it again so I can get my hair in the style I want. Thanks.

It's been commonly preached on here that you should wait at least 4 hours after applying minoxidil before washing your hair, although I'm not sure where this comes from

I use minoxidil after washing my hair. Takes 10 mins to dry - i dont mind
