How long did it take to see new hairs?

For those that did minoxidil (+/-finasteride) and had a shed, how long did it take you to see new hairs after the shed? How long did the shed last?

To be honest those hairs after initial shed will grow thicker than u will think u got regrowth . It will took maybe 6 weeks , at 3 month u will see shed almost fully stop and thick hairs c*m . But it depends on your hair loss and how aggressive it is

I never saw noticeable regrowth on min after 5 months, at which point I started dutasteride and at about 10 weeks is when I started seeing definite regrowth

Did you continue using minoxidil?

yes I never stopped. I thought when I started dutasteride that the minoxidil wasn't doing anything noticeable, but I think it helped slow my loss a little, and I got two comments about the bottom area of my crown looking thicker shortly after starting dutasteride, which must have been from the minoxidil as that is too early for the dutasteride to have worked. I had high quality pics from the dermatologist at baseline and 4 months of minoxidil which showed absolutely no change so at least I didn't lose any additional hair on it.

3 months finasteride and 1 month min, was when I saw the first regrowth/thickening of very thin hairs.
