How long can Hair Club system last?

Hi,

I have a hair club 'piece' that I used for maybe 2 weeks and then put away (in a drawer for about 4 years and then inside Tupperware for a several months). Is there any reason why I can't still use it? Would it deteriorate or shed particles?

It depends on hair quality and type of base I guess. If the hair is still soft, and not tangled or such, and base is still looking good, so why not.
