How Honest do you guys really think these forums are? I mean they do have their own ads on here and make money off this and have their own way they'd prefer you to go! I've been reading this forum for years and notice that some Threads some how just disappear from here, not a conspiracy-it's simple that some people have made drastic improvements and that few after the fact care to help others if they themselves don't turn a profit in it. Basically after years of checking this site out and trying to learn-I've realized that if there are solid things out there that might just have the slightest possibilty of helping some but wont at all actually correct the issue and the possibilties that will make a lot more progress towards correcting it will not be found on a website that has it's own agenda! Thee Objective is to make $$$ and to sell you something that might help to a degree so that it keeps you as costumer for life and there not gonna come out with anything other than what makes them the most Money and keeps you spending money for the rest of your life so their not gonna sell you anything that actually resolves the problem and their not gonna inform you of anything that can help if it doesn't involve money being put in their pockets---Basically you have to learn what you can and take from it what you can, but also see through the nonsense and go to school and take the right classes and you'll be alright, so it's better to spend your money on an education to get your hair back than it is on these never ending money draining products cause I know for certain that they know more than they say and can do a lot more than they do but don't count on the industry to ever do it cause that's throwing a Billion Dollar a year business right down the drain!

well i can tell you it's is just how you filter out the BS from the truth, i can say the testimonials in the success stories on the forums are rather impartial and most of them are from the big 3

i dye my hair i am particular about having an alcohol free topical and i will personally look for medical journals backing up the way they say it works

a good place to start on spotting a snake oil is "no side effects"

100% false.

Threads never disappear unless they are flat out obvious spam. Threads are simply moved to the proper forum.


Example...all topics that have to do with

"Rogaine, Tricomin, Xandrox, Laser Comb, custom Minoxidil Solutions, and other Growth Stimulating treatments."

We do have a black list, in a way. We have a word censor for products/sites that have spammed the forum. Thats why sometimes you see someone asking for a product and you will see *********.com.

Fam1 - Your post is a bit confusing really...are you questioning this forum or the drug companies? somewhat blurs between the two.

This forum may have advertisements for propecia but it is a free and open forum. There are plenty of people demonizing propecia on here day and night and if it was all about the $, those comments wouldn't be here. Also links to other places to buy hairloss products wouldn't be allowed, since we want you to buy from HairLossTalk.com, again that's not the case as you can link or recommend other places to buy propecia/minoxidil from.

well i haven't been here that long but i find most of the stuff here to be reasonable, and i think there are quite honest people.

i mean if someone been here a few years and have a few hundered posts do you think they would not have anything better do to than sit here and post bs?

This is a good forum as it isn't single-minded and cliquey. On another baldness forum the members actively ridicule balding/bald men who don't shave their heads. To be in the clique you have to shave your head. If you don't you're considered a coward. There are many threads over there making fun of celebrities seeking hair loss treatment. Even celebrities with short buzzcuts are ridiculed.

This forum is much better as there is a wide variety of opinions and approaches. People are not forced to follow the forum party line.

the admins here are some of the coolest on any forum i've ever visited. very mature, often engage in the discussions, and do a great job keeping the riff raff out.

i run a news website and we make all our money off run of site ads too, that doesn't mean we have an agenda, it just means we monetize our page views. i'm sure keeping this site going month to month is not cheap.

Making fun of someones hair here is a ban.

I cannot believe I have to do it sometimes...makes no sense to me why people would make fun of others with hair loss, on a hair loss forum.

I find the forum open and honest and there is no conflicts of interest going on. If preventing hair loss is the goal, then nothing should be sacred here, and any and all products are discussed and critiqued. Example:Yes you can find topical spironolactone cream for sell here but you can also even find a post from Bryan about how to make your own custom topical spironolactone allot cheaper. Now that's open, that's freedom!

This site has saved/is saving my hair and its making ZERO £s out of it from me, i didn even register untill i was 9 months into treatments.

I have found out so much about pretty much everything iv looked for about hair loss.

I was with a chick last night, she was one of those woman who likes running her hands through your hair and grabbing it, i had a "little" dermatch on my crown but she had no clue. 1 year ago id have freaked if some1 had tried this due to my terribly thin hair, id even have tried to avoid it totally.


like i said in my other post a big "MASSIVE" thanks to you guys.
