how good is revivogen?

I think it is pretty good for maintenance; I've been holding steady or slightly better for about one year using it nightly.

It seems to me as though the newer formulation is a bit different - a bit less greasy and less likely to stain the scalp red.

I do wish, however, that there would be some sort of large scale clinical trial to give some official data so that accurate comparisons could be made between it and other treatments.

can you even make your existing hair thicker with it?

I'm not sure what you mean.

If you mean existing hair that is thinning, then yes. Look at the revivogen webpage or search these forums, there are a few success stories to be found.

A revivogen and growth stimulant combo would be your best bet to thicken up thin hair.

no...there are two types of enzymes which convert test to dht....not two types of dht.

Have you given the big three a fair shake? Though I can't say this is true in your case, it's hard not to go treatment crazy in the early going. If you're new to all of this, stick it out for at least a year and have faith. You may not need anything else for a long, long time.

youre not listening....you can stop minoxidil for 6 months and then start it up again and your hair counts would shoot right back up. you can stop minoxidil and start it up again whenever you feel like youd like to have more hair...so stopping for 2 weeks is not going to make any difference at all.

This is not true. There is no guarantee that once you quit minoxidil and have the dreaded shed that the hair will grow back if you start minoxidil again. I've read many reports to the contrary.

That's something that sorely needs to be tested in a clinical setting. It would be fascinating if Price et al would do such a study to settle that issue once and for all.

did you post a graph from a study...where users stopped minoxidil for x number of weeks and then started again...and their hair counts began to rise again.

I've never seen a study in which minoxidil was applied again after a temorary lapse. That would be a DYNAMITE study, if only they would do that!
