For those of you trying to regrow hair at the temples and frontal part of your scalp, how did your regrowth start? were little tiny or dark hairs popping out from all over your receeding hair line, like in no pattern or anything, or does it start from the perimiter of your hairline and slowy kind of fill in making it smaller and smaller? Also is finasteride and minoxidil pretty effective for regrowing hair at the temples?

I don't know if it's the same for everyone, but in my case my hair re-grew in pretty much the reverse of the pattern in which it receded.
Re-growth started as vellus (very fine, blonde hairs) which grew to around an inch then just sort of sits there until falling out and re-growing slightly darker. The new growth keeps shedding/re-growing, getting darker and thicker after each "shed" until finally becoming normal dark thick hair at which point it grows indefinitely.
The frustrating part for me is the amount of pre matured hair is very high, although my hairdresser is constantly amazed each time I visit her by the amount of new mature hair.
