How Does Finasteride Prevent hair loss: I Mean To What Effect?

My question is: Can it save severely thinned hair? Or can it ONLY save hair that is a little thin?

Also, Can it save thin hair AS thin hair? Or does it thicken things up?

I have had no result for 12 months..... and am now feeling scared and suicidal

EDIT: Another question:

Is it possible to regrow if you've not improved but fallen slightly below baseline in year 1?

Some people don't respond. There are other drugs which are more powerful that can help you. First of all though I'd make sure your diet is really good. Include higher protein foods, or some whey protein. Low IGF-1 levels, at least locally, are shown in people who do not respond to Finateride.

Finasteride can thicken up existing hair, and regorw hair in some bald spots. But it depends if the follicle is dead or not.
