So i recently received some xandrox 15 % plus

My hairloss is recent, only started losing it since february of this year; diffuse on top/front. the back and sides is still unbeleivable thick. It's sad knowing the top would be like that if male pattern baldness never occured.

anyyyway, so i just put the stuff on my head. my hair is quite long, hopefully this won't make it useless. I tried my best parting my hair etc but i'm sure alot got on my hair. Thing is, my hair looks ridiculous with it applied. The directions say to use this then a lesser concentration in the morning. Well that's good and all but i can't really go through a day with that stuff in my hair.

how do people get around this?

Instead i'm just gonna apply 1.25 ml of it once a night, and in the morning use my nano shampoo by Dr. P.

Do you think that might do nearly as good a job? The nano shampoo has minoxidil-like properties does it not?

btw i'm 20 yrs old

Replies appreciated! Good luck all

I dont know that people actually use Xandrox 15+ during the day... Even Dr. Lee suggests using a 5% formulation during the day and 15+ at night.

Fender89,

Is this you first hair loss treatment?
You should not start with Xandrox 15+, try a lower concentration first like 5%.

I disagree, Dr. Lee probably recommended that he start with Xandrox15 because recovering frontal hair loss is much more difficult. That's what happened with me.

Fender, your hair loss sounds a lot like mine. I use Xandrox15 at night and Xandrox5 in the morning. However, I don't think that using xandrox15 in the daytime would be a big issue. I think the problem is the application. My hair is reasonably long also. When I apply the solution, I don't part my hair like the instructions. I just stick the dropper through the hair put it right on the scalp and just move it around. You should not be getting very much of it on your hair, just on the scalp.

No ways u will be using 15% through the day unless u want to make it look like ur kid has pured glue on ur head:).

In an ideal world you would use 15% at night and nanominox in the morning, as nano can be washed off in 10-15mins.

i have a 5% minoxidil spectral DNC-L, which i just had before i got xandrox but havn't really used it. Yees this is my first proper treatment. Until it i've been taking saw palmetto, a bunch of vitamins, scalp exercise.. etc etc. all the natural stuff that most likely isn't working.

So are you saying there's a minoxidil that can absorb in like 15 mins? so i can apply it before shower in the morning?

timbo, how long you been using this stuff? hope your making good progress :)

I use my 15+ during the day but i have my head shaved so it don't really affect anything other than looking like i have some clear gel on my head. Is there a advantage using it at night, like it's more effective?

In theory, it would be more effective at night because there is less chance of anything happening to it while it dries. (i.e. rain/wind). But it doesn't really matter.

Fender, I've been on xandrox for 8 months now w/ great results. But I don't use the "plus" formula w/ topical finasteride.

timbo, glad to know it's going good for ya!

any reason why you didn't go for the plus version? Don't want to chance finasteride? If i notice any kind of side effect from it i'll switch to the non finasteride version i guess.

Just use Rogaine foam. The foam dries up in 12-15 minutes. Simple as hell.

Unless you already tried it and don't like it.

The doctor I visited told me finasteride and minoxidil 5% is the only thing to maintain your hair.

I didn't go for the "plus" version because I was getting side effects from propecia. I would highly recommend that you try the plus version though...especially if you've never tried propecia. I don't think it would be as effective as taking oral finasteride, but the side effects aren't as bad either (according to Dr. Lee).

ok well i've only been used it three times so far. 4th application will be tonight. At what time will it be normal to start noticing sides (if i actually get any) Anything in particular to watch out for? so far so good. though, no idea if it's doing anything for my hair mind you haha. too early obviously.

it's a shame you got sides from propecia man. I've never tried it so who knows. Really hope the non plus version is enough to keep your hairloss at bay dude. all the best. good luck

Get a new doctor, or at least one with more hairloss product knowledge. Also rogaine foam isn't as strong as xandrox nor does it have finasteride or AA. Advantage xandrox.

I've been on xandrox + now for over a month with no sides. The finasteride Isn't absorbed into the blood fully being a topical application and some say it might not even be potent after sitting in a solution of minoxidil and Azelic acid. So far though, no brain fog, man boobs, or libido loss only sticky residue on hats and pillow.
