How Do You Split Your Propecia OR Proscar Pills?

I've read the forums and people are taking propecia (finasteride) at a dose of .25mgs. How do you cut the pill this small? What is your secret? Do you use a pill splitter? Which one? Do you crush up the pill into a powder and separate it into groups; then drink each group with a glass of water?

You can split Finpecia (1mg finasteride) into 4 pieces with a pill cutter to make it .25 fairly easily.

Really? Do you recommend or does anyone recommend a certain pill cutter? I didn't think any ol' pill cutter could do it because the pill I figured was so small.

I split a 1mg pill into .25 mg pieces (splitting it in half, then splitting the halfs in half again). I was using a pill splitter but I found that the results varied wildly. Sometimes I would get good split that were pretty even, but sometimes the pill would split oddly or really unevenly leaving me with some big pieces and some small pieces (and yes I have a good pill splitter that holds the pill in place and everything). I started using a knife (a butter knife type of knife) and doing it myself and this has given me way better results.
