How do you know if you just have a mature hairline/or when it will stop..?

Well, I have a norwood 2 now, and my hairline is decent, but it's the thinning that's been really frustrating. It's generally been okay, but just in the past year, it's been getting a bit thinner, more pronounced. I thought it would stop eventually ,and it has seemed to largely at a norwood 2, but the thinning has kept going steadily and slowly.

Will I likely go to a norwood 6? does it always follow your mother's grandparents side? mine is a full norwood 6, but I think had a norwood 2.5 for a pretty long time. My dad never went bald at all, and always had full thick hair, as well as I have a considerable amount of native american ancestry(they don't go bald) ...but :jackit::ninja:

my grandfather, man. He ruined whatever good hair genetics I could have had. *sigh*

I agree, its hard to tell. But like you said, you looked at your mother's dad. Its all genetics man. I thought the same thing about my hair, and was convinced that it was just the result of growing older. So there's the potential that yes, that's what your hair is going to look like. But, the more probable answer...your hair is receding away, opening the gates of baldness hell.

I would like to know as well. My hair is pretty thick, but my front hairline looks like a U.

Will need to get a miniaturization test done to have a better idea of your final pattern.

Androgens are actively affecting the entire scalp. it's a slow process, but it's been happening for many years even before it was noticible to the naked eye.

from experience its very hard to get this done because there are so many bullsh!t artist trichologists out there. A derma that specializes in hairloss or a hair transplant doctor are your best bets.
