How Do You Know How Many Grafts A Doctor Does

Hi,

I am considering getting surgery..If a doctor quotes you out at 2500 grafts..how can he determine or you for that matter that you are really getting 2500, not 1500 etc..
Do you have to count how many times he needles your head..

You dont know for sure thats why you make sure you go to a trusted name with a good rep. A decent Dr will give you an exact breakdown of how many doubles, singles or trebles you get and therefore you'll know not just how many grafts you got but how many hairs it equates to.
BTW you never get an exact fig if they quote 2500 you'll probably get between 2300 - 2800 and they'll adjust the price accordingly. (A good surgeon will let you have a few for free).

If you get BHT from the front of your thigh, you can count the holes post op. Otherwise, can't tell. And this has really bothered me in the past, not knowing. I tried to estimate density post op, but the blood makes it hard to count hairs.
