How do you guys apply rogain foam exactly?

So I've gotten different opinions on how to apply the foam, especially with it being so fast drying and everything.

At first, I would just simply put it on the scalp and let it dry (just like the liquid rogaine before). I didn't see that great of a result, so I figured that maybe I wasn't doing it right. The website mentions to "massage it in" a little instead of just applying it and letting it dry. I figured that made sense because if it dries quickly (unlike the liquid) then it doesn't have enough time to be absorbed. So now I massage the area of my scalp until it is completely dry, which takes a couple minutes.

So am I doing it right, should I keep massaging the area until it's completely dry, or should I just apply it and let it sit, or somewhere in the middle? What do you guys do?

Thanks

I used to squirt it directly onto my scalp but found I was wasting too much - now I put it in the cap to measure and scoop out a tiny blob with my finger, put it on the scalp, let it melt into a liquid, then rub it in for like 10-15 seconds. Minutes sounds a bit like overkill to me.

Yeah maybe not minutes, but I definitely do it until the stuff is completely dry on my scalp.

Wasn't sure if that was the right way to do it, or if there even is a right or wrong way.

I squirt my foam on straight from the bottle then massage it very gently for around 10-20 seconds on my hairline and for around 30-40 seconds for my crown.

Its working so I must be doing something right.
