how do you apply minoxidil/rogaine

just share your method or what you think is the most effective way to use minoxidil.

do u apply on wet or dry hair, or towel dried hair... do u always shampoo prior to application? do you massage it in? if so how long? what do u do to the residue left on your fingers? try to apply it some more or do you just wash it off?

I apply in the morning after I wash and dry my hair. In the evenings I apply it without washing my hair. Both times my hair is dry and I do not rub in the minoxidil.

I have heard of people rubbing it in and others not. I prefer not doing it because you lose some of the minoxidil on the hairs. There was an article posted on here showing that it all reaches the same place whether you do or do not rub. It was the same basis as placing a drop of water on a tissue, it spreads.
