How Do So Many People On Here Catch Their Hair Loss So Early?

So many posts I have been reading on here seem to consist of people who have like a NW1.5 hairline with thick hair and they are so worried its gonna fall out tomorrow. Lucky them though, because if you are suspicious that early and get a miniaturization test done, you can get on finasteride before it is noticeable at all and it probably never will be if you stick with it. I didn't notice until multiple people pointed it out, but then again I was 16 so it wasn't on my mind i guess lol.

Its because most of them have close family members like their dad who went bald af young so they were always expecting it. The guys who catch it super early and post on here almost always have bald dads.

I have a 5 year older brother who has the same hairloss type as me and he isn't on treatment. So I can see how many years I have left before it gets really bad if treatments won't work

Yea that makes sense, my dad started losing his hair kind of early too, but his hairline stayed intact until his late 30s so it isn’t something I really took note of in pictures I guess. I think pattern makes a big difference too, I caught mine kind of early but if I had a more obvious receding hairline instead of crown thinning as the first sign I think it would’ve helped. I’m kind of happy my friends are dicks and pointed out the thinning pretty early when we were in the pool lol. Nobody looks at their crown before they know they’re losing hair, so if that’s where it hits you first I guess it needs to be pointed out.
