How do people here apply Rogaine foam?

Do you just rub it in like shampoo? Do you put it on dry or damp hair?

You want to get it to the scalp and the best way I found when I used it was to part my hair and apply it to the scalp in the areas you are worried about. It is well known that a damp scalp increases absorption BUT it also may increase side effects as well. Be careful.

Right now my overall density is passable but my hairline and temples are receded to a NW2 & the crown is beginning to show a line. Is it a dumb idea to just apply to my crown and hairline or should I use it on the whole scalp?

Well, I will tell you this. I started using minoxidil when my crown started thinning and my density started to go along with my temples. Almost 5 years later after applying minoxidil all over my scalp (along with Propecia and Nizoral in the mix) my crown has filled in and I am a NW2 at the age of 38. Treatments work different for everyone but catching things early (as you did) helps alot because it is much easier to maintain than to regrow. So I would say use it all over if you can afford it.
