How do i know if ketoconazole shampoo is causing my hairloss.

Hey all. Any factors that would determine if ketoconazole is making my hair thinner? Ever since I've used it my hair has been getting thinner over the course of a year ish... Trichologist said I have male pattern baldness, early stages of thinning. But wouldn't thinning caused by that shampoo or any harmful shampoo with certain ingredients mimic the pattern and outwards apparence of male pattern baldness? Could a professional tell under a microscope if it is male pattern baldness or from a product? I get no shedding too which is weird as hell. Cheers..
