How common is excess body hair growth and bad face from minoxidil?

I am already really hairy and can't afford to get worse with minoxidil

While possible, bad face from minoxidil in rare. Hair growth in the rest of your body on the other hand is pretty common. But it's actually almost unnoticeable as it is very small. This tends to be a problem with women, not with men. Especially if you are hairy already, you won't notice a difference at all.
