How Come Hairloss Is Becoming Less Common Amongst Young People??

How come hairloss is becoming less and less common amongst younger people nowadays?

In my town, I know very few people under 30 who have any sort of severe hairloss, infact the vast majority of people I know who are under 40 are no worse than a NW2-3. I hear a lot of hype about more people experiancing hairloss but I don't think its true, infact I think its the opposite if anything.

I'm only 26, I'm still only Norwood 2.5, my father hit Norwood 2.5/3 at 20 and stayed like that till he was 50, and only has a bald patch at the back with a nw3.5 hairline at 54, no worse than that anyway. But I would still say he's barely average for his age.

Don't get me wrong there's a lot people who experiance hairloss at a young age, but evidently its in the minority. Even the vast majority of people in their 30s don't experiance any great deal of hairloss, it seems that way moreso now than ever. It seems more and more people at 50 have most of their easily from what I'm seeing.

Does anyone else share these experiances? Or think there still is an increasing problem of younger people becoming more and more bald?

Like I say my dad's in his mid-50s and I would he say he's barely average for his age group.

I have no idea. I think in 10 years it wont really matter anyways because there will ways to just keep all your hair and prevent male pattern baldness anyways. I dont think there is any magical change its just the normal mix of genetics with some guys losing hair earlier and other men later. I just think it really is androgens and your hair susceptibility to them and that just varies person to person.

I don't think this is true at all, there are numerous guys on here in their early 20's, including myself who is experiencing aggressive male pattern baldness. I also have at least 5 friends that are experiencing signs of male pattern baldness. If anything it is getting more common? I think it might depend on where you live, I live in Scotland and even within this past week I have seen two COMPLETELY BALD young males around my age. It was quite shocking to see to be honest and I felt horrible for them both, even though I know that is inevitably my fate...**** my life.

Ok have a look at sportstars. Have a look at the premier league, how many footballers in their 20s are severely going bald?? Very few are past nw3. Same with other sports like the NFL if you look.

It seems to be getting better and better. I'm 26 and I would say my nw2.5 is worse than most people for my age. I may only progress to a nw3 into my 50s if I'm lucky but that still could be below average by then.

I am 24 with aggressive hairloss, so there are still young people out there with male pattern baldness.

None of my friends ( an admittedly small circle) are anything more than a flat out norwood 0 at ages ranging between 25-28. I was in that group too until age 26.5 then suddenly it came on like wildfire and now at 28 ive got a NW6 diffusing in rapidly with a bit of temple recession. Fun times.

what about that statistic that 20% of people by age 20 show signs of hair loss? BS then?

Maybe 99% of males in their 20s are on Propecia and dont admit to anyone that they are taking it. This would especially ring true amongst TV and Sports personalities, as you dont see many of them past NW3 once they hit 30. I was looking at a Football sticker album from 1990 the other day that i collected as a kid and i would say 20-25% were pasr norwood 3 at 32.

lool not if they know how to use google... here is what you get when you type in "propecia side effects"

Defective Drug Lawyers - Drug Linked to Sexual Dysfunction.

Hair Loss Lawsuits - Hair Loss Remedy Causing Impotence?

Propecia Side Effects - Impotence, Low Libido, Erectile Dysfunction

most people will say no thanks...

anyways, I think that 20% by age 20 is a bit exaggerated. From my personal experience it's probably at around 10% counting even those with the slightest hair loss where they don't even know themselves that they're losing hair

So basically 75-80% of the male population have near a full set of hair by the time they're in their early 30s which proves my point :p

What about 40? 50? 60?

If you cite some friends you know and what there hair is like that is just a tiny fraction of a percent of people in just your state its not in any way a trend or anything in the general population you would need a study with at least thousands or more people with a good representation and mix of people. A small group of friends or people is just a small meta pocket that does not mean anything the in the grand scheme of how male pattern baldness is progressing or not.
I still say in 5-10 years male pattern baldness will not be a big deal because it will be largely preventable that is the only reason so many guys on here freak out and are so pessimistic just because they are very short sighted and right now hair loss can not be completely stopped. It will though be preventable in a few years when something like CB or that pgd 2 thing leads to some concrete product

I found this:

WUHYt.gif

what the hell it would make no sense that baldness is LESS common. How could it be??? "Genetics" without a doubt, are getting worse and worse so people in the future should be less resistant wouldn't they?

maybe natural selection has selected against it in your town

tell me about man. i did work not long ago with three men all older than me by 3 decades and all had a stronger hair line and thicker hair overall!

but do your best to not focus on others, their hair, or whether hair loss is declinding overall. its utterly and completely irrelevant to whether your own personal regimen would give you any success.
