If that silly theory "if you grey/white at younger age you most likely to keep lots of your hair" were true LOL.

Man I even started to grey at 17!! In a couple of years my sides are full covered with white hair. AND thinning? the Hair gods smile upon me haha.

I know it might seem brutal to you lol, but the hair gods fucked you nice and slow compared to most of us here. You literally have better or as good hair as me, I'm 24 and have been on propecia for a year. Believe me when I say you didn't get the short end of a stick, a little early at 27, but if you read a bit around this forum you'll
Know that you are somewhat lucky in making it to almost 30 with this hair.

Well 3 years ago I had the exact same hair I have today. I was 24 then too. Just because you've receeded some I def do not think it's the end of it. I heard people can go hald from from 40-45...in those 5 years, and people that show signs of balding actually keep their hair for entire life.

Perhaps...perhaps not. If i hadn't been like this for 10 years i would def say losing hair. I will give it 2-4 years and see, if it stays this way I won't treat it even if it gets worse later.

I created a thread here back in may asking for opinions. At the time I had a buzz cut and the opinions where very different. One guy claimed I was on my way to a Norwood 3, some said a solid nw2...and some even claimed a nw1 with a natural high hairline.

The concern I have regards my hairline at the left side. Or the left frontal area. When I comb my hair left to right which I normally do, there seems to be a thinner area there, which I've had at least for 3 years. Maybe it has been there for a longer time, but I noticed it first time when I got a buzz cut in 2014 for the first time in a long time. Is this thinning..if so, alarming? Or is it a weird split..because my hair seems to have a weird split from the scalp to the side hairs specially in the front area. I'm still not sure if im thinning and am denial, or not. My age is 27.

These 2 pics are under quite heavy lightening.

Significant thinning. You have an island in front.

Temple points are hard to see, but that doesnt look good at all.

Diffusion frontal working half way back.

Regardless of norwood, the main factor now is how old you are and when you started balding.

This could take 10 years or it could be very badly diffuse in 2 years, IMHO

If you want to save the front there hop on

Also, if you are gonna do a frontal transplant and then stay in finasteride this would be the time

I have had it like this since my teens without it getting any worse at all. When I developed a "mature hairline" I got what you see in this pictures and nothing has changed, maybe slightly thinner at the left corner.

You clearly have male pattern baldness man. Not very aggressive or advanced, but male pattern baldness nonetheless. I wouldn't call that a mature hairline. If you don't want to get on treatments, then don't get on treatments. Its your choice, but just saying, your hair loss will progress if you don't get on treatments, but tbh it could still progress on treatments, so its really a game of luck.

Also don't assume you won't go bald just because no one in your family is. No one in my family has hair loss, except my dad who started losing hair in his late 40s, but I still have aggressive hair loss starting at 18/19.

I know I have male pattern baldness since 90% of all males get it, even if it doesn't go all the way for some. I don't think it's that alarming either, and if I go bald so be it, nothing I will cry about. I just wanted some opinions. Another reason I started this thread was because my first thread (which I linked here) I got almost only positive response, in this thread it's more towards the negative. So it's just a bit confusing. Plus I think I can pull of a pretty good looks with shaved head and beard :)

And if this matters at all - i have natural thinner hair and low density, which also goes for my brother whos got 0 hairloss. When his hair is longer it looks really thin. My dad has the same hairtype.

What exactly you want us to tell you? Imo you are receding and you should start treatment ASAP. It is not really bad yet for 27 years, but if you want to treat it, you should start as early as possible.

No offence, but so many people come here claiming that their hairline "has been like that for years", but I somehow doubt it is true for all of them. If the whole hairline including temple points is receding it is often really hard to notice.

You should post some pics from a few years ago for better comparsion.
