Looks like male pattern baldness. Was thinking of doing Finasteride and PRP but worried about the side effects of finasteride, the potential permanent damage is the scary thing. Not sure if it would be worth doing prp by itself. Wondering how bad my hairline is and what my Norwood level would be. Thanks

Yeah it sucks, family has a history of balding/thinning hair. Just looks like I got with it hard. Noticed at like 19/20 that it started thinning. Visited my dermatologist he suggested finasteride and PRP combo. Finasteride has really horrible side effects which is discouraging me from starting. I look fine with a buzzcut but obviously id like to regrow hair if possible, just not sure if finasteride will grow anything, if its just going to maintain what I have its not really worth it because what I have isnt that great and a buzz would be better at that point. But if finasteride/PRP ends up regrowing my hair and making it look thicker, without the potentially damaging/harmful side effects it would be a huge win. Im just not too sure about the side effects.

your young, so a strong combo of finasteride + ru + minoxidil, and you have a great chance of regrowing a lot. you may not though, its all individual. i would give it a go though
if you get sides with any of these treatments, just stop
personally i prefer a buzz than the semi thin combover look. plus its easier to use treatments

Yeah the buzz is much better. I was just trying to see how much my hair would grow and trying to keep what I had but at this point i've accepted that its not going to grow naturally much more than this so im just gonna buzz it. As far as finasteride goes, theres the possibility to grow tits, lose erections permanently and lose libido? I know only a small % of people suffer from any side effects but if you get hit with something permanent like loss of erections forever, or grow tits thats definitely not worth it and seems more damaging than hair loss. Thats my main fear and cause for concern. Plus you see people online suffering from some post finasteride syndrome, it just makes me nervous especially with the erection stuff.

i got bad sides myself with finasteride but excellent regrowth. some guys get no sides whatsoever
there are other option besides finasteride if your willing to do some research and experimental a little

puffy nipples, brain fog, tiredness, feeling like sh*t. pretty bad sides.
i am an exception. most guys get no sides with maintenance.
my sides lasted a long time and still linger a little now. i am an unfortunate case of getting pfs. but they arent permanent, its just takes a while to go back to normal . was my own fault to stay on the drug for as long as i did whilst enduring these sides
if you get them yourself, just drop the drug, youll be fine
the scary part is that you still face symptoms.

i dont recommend you propecia,wait some years and go to hair transplant.
Yeah i wish. If i was that old then it wouldn’t bother me that much.
Shouldnt I maintain what i have to make a future hair transplant more viable?
