How bad is it?! 25y.o.

Hi all!
Wondering if I could get some advice and perspective. I've been obsessing about my hairline and I'm wondering how bad it really is. It has certainly changed over the last 5 years and it used to be round when I was about 20 y/o (see first picture below). It has gotten a bit higher and the corners are moving back gradually.

I hear this is typical for a mature hairline, but I'm not sure if that's the case or if it's gonna be full blown male pattern baldness. A year ago I shaved my head to look at it and started nizoral/min. It hasn't progressed a ton but it has at least a some. I took the last three pictures just now and am trying to see where I stand (I even marked where it seems to be headed in the third pic). I know its moving, but the edges seem strong and I'm just wondering if there's any chance its a mature hairline. The last picture is how my hair usually is... its super thick and i get comments on it regularly, but I'm ridiculously self conscious about it.. :( I don't want it to get worse. Thoughts?

TL;DR Look at the last 3 pics! Moving towards mature hairline or past that? How bad is it?

Definitely not beyond, or even fully at the proper mature stage so you're fine for now. It could get worse, but so could anybody's hair at any given time. Yours is fine.

Other opinions? I'm on Min 2x and nizoral daily and am even thinking about upping my regime. Tried finasteride but had sides.

What do you guys think? I really obsess about this so the more opinions one way or another would be seriously valuable to hear.

Thanks!!

Little confused... are you guys saying its moving to mature but won't be full blown male pattern baldness? if that's the case there's not a reason to use minoxidil... but I want to be safe just in case. Other opinions!?!

There are no signs of actual balding here but nobody can say for definite; you may have coincidentally started balding but it is not at a noticeable stage. Basically, if you're worried about losing your hair, get a proper miniaturization test to see if you're in the early stages of male pattern baldness.

This is so pathetic, you aren't balding at all.

I hate it when guys post pics on here of mild to no recession.

well i went to a derm last year and he said i was losing it and prescribed propecia. Now i'm not sure if it is just mature or going past that. Sorry if that's pathetic, but he just got it into my head.

What you're saying is good news for me though so despite your disapproval, I thank you!

It's not pathetic. It's better that he post this and get opinions rather than be worried sick over it. This is especially helpful for people who may not have any signs of hairloss but are still taking potentially health damaging drugs like Propecia when they don't have to.
