OK,
I am 27 years old and have been receeding to a NW2 for about 5 years, and about 6 months ago i suspected that my crown may also be thinning. When I used to look at the collik (sp?) on the back of my head I could see some scalp through my hair in about a dime size diameter. So, about 4 months ago I started propecia, and since then my hair has shed so much, I have to play games with the hair on the top and back of my head to hide how thin it is now??? At this rate I will progress to a NW3 with crown in no time... Is this due to shedding, agressive male pattern baldness, or some adverse reaction to the propecia?

ps-ive been to my dermatologist like once a month since starting propecia and he just scratches his head and recommends to wait it out or switch to rogaine if it bother me so much????

thanks is advance!

If the thinning is due to a shed, the hair should grow back (hopefully stronger, too). In your case, it definitely seems like this "aggressive" loss is simply a result of a Propecia shed. Either way, you're doing all you can, so I wouldn't worry about it.[/url]

collik (sp?)

"Cow Lick" (think about it :)

PS: ADDING Rogaine might be an option - but Rogaine isn't really the proper substitute for Propecia.

Like they said - ya gotta ride it out.

thin=depressed, I'd say that your regimen qualifies as one of the more aggressive ones that I've seen here:)
