So I reverted to a human hair piece, French lace, 80% grey. This pic is one combing...with conditioner, easy combing...I think it is too much...are you guys experiencing same or is my unit junk???

Had my current piece for almost 4-months and very very little thus far. Usually, shedding increases in rate after month 6, but still usable until month 9; for me at least. Its been this way for a few years now though I know from reading here some pieces shed a lot and quick.

Both of my 80/20 synthetic/human hair lace systems from OneHead do NOT shed at all!!!

The seven-month one is still going strong. The three-month one was retired since I accidentally cut the lace.

All human hair one coming next week... will see if there is any difference.

I also don't use knot sealer, since if effected my bond.

Thanks BB. Thought the latest pics you posted (unsatisfied with supplier) were real euro hair..
If synthetic, I now understand why it does keep the curl.
Will revert back to synthetic, as real human grey sheds too much..

The new system is "allegedly" real human, euro hair. It is soft and quite easy to cut (per my stylist). It did NOT keep the curl, I have no idea of what they did. I am still waiting to hear back, and am quite angry with them. They get 1 week, then I am naming names!

I showed my friends at OneHead, the pics... they have experience with this supplier, and refused to work with them (now I see why).

No shedding, but this is only week one!

So 20 percent human, 80 grey synthetic?

Hi AxC

That looks like bad workmanship. I find I get a bit of shedding for the first 10 days as the unit settles down, but then it stabilises, and as Grincher said, it's good then till about month 6. At that point I don't really notice a lot of shedding, but I do notice the density thinning, so it must be losing hair imperceptibly. I am usually retiring my pieces about that point.

If you are handfuls of hair like that in the middle of unit's life, it's either a bad supplier or a Friday afternoon unit.

Thanks. After 2 months, it's a bad unit. I admit that I haven't used knot sealer, but then, it should not she'd as much...it's been my experience with human grey hair..so will go back to synthetic grey
