I believe in Chi, but I don't believe that Chi alone is the predominant reason why us fuckers are going bald. It may affect the timing of it, the significance of it, but the hormonal factors involved in male pattern baldness are pretty transparent and well proven.

In a nutshell, I think genetics and hormones cause male pattern baldness. But, I think that Chi might affect the triggering mechanisms that determine the time phasing of our progression along Norwood.

Framing this in a Western medicinal context, 'stress' accelerates the ageing process, some of which is hormonally driven. Perhaps the Eastern concept of minding your 'Chi' is a way of minding personal habits and lifestyle in a way that enhances personal 'essence' and increases personal hardiness and ability to deal with the 'stress' that is accelerating genetic ageing actions?

Amen to that, Cooldar. I agree. The importance of sleep is all too often neglected.

We talk about our diets, reducing cholesterol and fats, eating with more balance, but we never address the concept that healthy sleep is equally crucial to health!

That being said, I think I am going to bed early tonight. Good night, gentlemen.

My biggest concern is that my high testosterone level is what is causing my hair loss. Would over masturbating turn it into DHT?

I am sorry your hair loss is genetic.

Don't you think you're grasping at straws to propose the ridiculous idea that your male pattern baldness is somehow caused by "chi" and some kidney chi herbal solutions and such will remedy all your baldness? I'd say almost all cases of male pattern baldness are caused by genetics, and we should ALL stick to some form of regimen (if not Propecia) lest we lose our hair. If you're losing your hair, chances are it's genetics.

Edit:

I've been experienceing normal hair loss for years in the normal pattern.

Hmm, original poster claims to be losing his hair in the normal pattern. I dunno if this "chi" stuff has evolved over time to mimic genetic male pattern baldness patterns, because if it has, that's pretty evolutionary! Hey, maybe you've figured out some herbal solution to making your palms less sweaty, but I can't help but be EXTREMELY skeptical about this stuff for hairloss. I think you're taking it four steps too far.

Chi aside, chemically, I don't understand the underpinning of this theory. Can someone explain to me how masturbation leads to increased DHT, and to increased hairloss?
