hello...I was thinking that those guys from Histogen will release their product sooner...but looking with more accuracy...I 've seen that they are not even int first phase ...looks like we have to wait something like 10 years...damn...I have the feeling that this will be available when I will have something like 40-50 I mean in 20-30 years...

Really, they emailed me saying their stuff could be out in Asia in 2013. Not sure how accurate it is though.

Fingers crossed there will be lots of great treatments within the next 5 years or so, it's just up to us to maintain and stuff until then!

I mean treatments today are way better than they were certainly 10 years ago, and I think the impact of the internet on all this has been big as well.

Things will keep improving :)

I hear ya hoppi, i hear ya. Although i really dont think a whole lot will change in the next 5 years (we'll still most be using the big 3 etc.)
but i am gambling on histogen and others success. Ive got this vision of the 'cure of male pattern baldness' being announced finally and we have a big celebratory festival and have marches in the streets...then we knockout all the smug Norwood 1's lol jk.

But seriously i bet it will be super pricey when it comes out and if we can maintain till then and afford the treatment it will be awesome.

Would be sweet to of been born 5 years earlier though. Knowing you would never have to deal with male pattern baldness would be a nice feeling

Count me in! :)

The cure is near but HM is not it. HM is going to be an improvement but not the definitive cure.

I just received a response today from them...and they say that in 2013 will release the product in Asia and in US in 2015...And in Europe everywhere between 2013-2015...now...let's see what can it do...grow new follicles...revive the old ones or just maintaining...

No doubt they put some qualifiers in your email, such as "if everything goes according to plan." It's impossible for anyone to say without doubt they'll have a release in 2013.

And as everyone with any life experience knows, things never go according to plan.

The current estimated timeframe for market introduction of HSC in the U.S. is 2015, with earlier introduction (2013 timeframe) being a possibility in some countries (including Singapore). Please feel free to contact me directly at the email below if I can provide anything additional.

The email she sent me. Well it did say estimated. However, I believe there is a lot less red tape in Singapore, which happens to be where I am. So Im crossing my fingers that this treatment will be available before my hairloss gets much worse.

Things always take longer than we think they will take. I'd bet good money that it won't be available in Singapore in 2013. That's not to say it won't be available a couple of years after that, but, well...we'll see.

maybe we shouldn't so pessimistic...they theory are great...and those results from preclinical results are great..besides this the are no other side effects...only improving and growing new hairs...so...somehow I think this think will be available sooner...aderans are still in phase 2...but what are they trying is much more complicated...

It's not pessimism, it's pragmatism.

As I've said elsewhere, we simply don't know when these technologies are going to come live, and it's unhelpful to plan your life around uncertainty. The best attitude is to act 'as if' they're not in the pipeline. If they do come live in a year or two, so much the better. But you won't have been wasting your time overthinking it.
