High doses of Finasteride to combat sexual addiction?

I have read articles online of people taking massive doses of Finasteride like 20mg a day to relieve themselves of their powerful sexual compulsions. It allows the sex addict to concentrate on their job and career without having the constant feeling of wanting to hump something. :hump:

Anyone else heard of this occuring?

Whats an SSRI? According to wikipedia its some kind of anti-depresant. Yeah finasteride in massively high doses would kill your libido. Well it would make you impodent, but it may not cure you phycholigically.

Yes, I've seen stuff like this.. there are guys out there that consider finasteride only b/c they want to reduce libido. Finasteride raised my libido....drove me nuts....glad I'm not using that stuff anymore....

Do you have any proof of that? I believe they gave some finasteride doses in early studies upwards of 100mg and there were no major side effects

Well if 50% of the guys on this forum complain of decreased libido and sexual function on 1mg, then its common sense to know that side effects are going to increase on greater dosages. You dont need proof to know that. You just need a brain. The trouble is bubka gump shrimp, is ur one of those guys like in the tabacco industry that say, show me the proof that smoking tabacco causes cancer, well im one of those guys that can read between the lines. Clearly you cant. Thats your down fall, but you cant help it. Its who ur.
