I am 26 years of age. I recently noticed that my crown seems a bit large? Please advise if this is cause for concern. Please view the following pictures. Thanks for any assistance.

Firstly, thanks for your response. Look at how bare the crown area is, that's what is concerning me. Does this maybe look like some kind of strange double crown?

look at the back of heads of people in public, you see this in a lot of males. You will see it in children. Its not male pattern baldness. (at least yet)

Okay thanks, I'm more concerned with the size of the crown, I have seen some strange looking crowns. Could I ask in your experience, how often is it the case that male pattern baldness starts on the crown without any receding hairline?

It can happen in cases of diffuse patterned allopecia, it's less frequent than male pattern baldness but it's not rare. I'm a diffuse thinner and my hairline still looks very good, but my crown and the top of my head are quite thin.

A crown thinning with very thick hair everywhere else is quite rare, usually other areas start to thin at the same time.

You're fine! You're 26, you're at a good age, and many people have whirls/double whirls at the crown. A piece of advice I could give you is keep an eye on it if it troubles you. But tbh, the main advice I could give is to go out and enjoy yourself. You have seemingly no hairloss (unless you're receding from the front which I doubt), a seemingly good head of hair, so there's no need to waste time worrying, just enjoy your head of hair!
