ii just found this board and enjoy reading the different things you have tried and your blunt honest opinions-anyways im curious would you date a female who is balding? would you rather she show her balding or style it so its covered up with concealers such as toppik or fullmore.............thanks guys!

Depends on how bald she is. If it is very excessive, I'd rather have her cover it up. Toppik and similar products become very expensive in the end though and if the hair loss is very aggressive, wigs on females often look great.

I think that nobody should be hiding. But thats my opinion. Tough that society is so strict in its rules on women and hair, for the odd few that suffer greatly. If a guy can be found attractive without hair I don't see why a girl can't its just not as common!

I'll be honest - it depends on the ENTIRE PACKAGE. There is a girl at work who is smart, funny, great body and overall looks and is making decent money. Having said that she is balding around her hairline. But I don't care, I'd hit that any day of the week :punk:

A female friend of mine is thining in the frontal area. She is only 25. However, she has many attractive qualities and losing her hair wont change that. IMO

No I wouldn't. I'd give her advice on how to treat her hair loss though.

If she covered her head up I'd get the odd coffee with her, as friends.

Obviously the fact that its rare for a woman to have noticible hairloss makes it much harder to deal with. But speaking honestly its most likely to be a handicap when it comes to dating much more so than for a man to be balding. I know a girl (22) with hairloss like a full nw4/5 and she always keeps her head covered with a bandana.

Sorry to go off topic... Out of curiousity, is it female pattern baldness she suffers from do you know? or something else?
I told my friend about the female hairloss forum. I got the link from this site. But, she seems to be in denial it could be fpb becuase she is so young....

thanks guys for all your honest opinons -FPB can hit in the teens if your genetically programmed to get it.i have a few friends who have their scalp almost see through on top, receding hairlines and balding crowns, (we are all in our 40s), personally i think they should learn to style and "hide" because as double standard as it is females balding or bald are not really acceptable in society, the sad fact though is more and more females are balding due to hormonal problems and various immune diseases, everywhere i look i see one and they range in very young to very old............on a females opinion i hardly see any guys anymore with full heads of hair, their either balding, or have shaved heads which i personally think is SEXAAAAAAA, hair is definitely overrated, most of the women i know could care less about balding or bald guys they look for much more than hair like personality, nice abs etc.......

I dont know before no one discusses it with her but its basicly just the front and vertex area, the crown and back are untouched and she grows that long. Theres nothing she could do except for a wig so she just puts on a bandana and it covers the problem. She also has Tatts and piercings so people just think its all part of the look. I've seen old ladies with severley thin hair but never a young girl like this with a half bald head before it must be heartbreaking for her, its bad enough for us guys.
