I have a receding hairline and definitely thinning on the crown. I'm looking to get a prescription for Propecia. I don't know too much about this stuff. Do I want generic finasteride or Propecia? What is the difference?
Also, should I get Avodart instead? Can you even get a prescription for Avodart from your dermatologist for male pattern baldness, since it's not FDA approved for male pattern baldness?
Once I start Propecia, what can I expect? Will I get shedding?
I know that you can get regrowth/thickening from Propecia. Do you guys think Propecia can help my hairline? My hairline was always higher to begin with, not sure how high exactly. But as you guys can see by these pics I have a lot of miniaturizing hairs there. Can my hairline be helped?
