Hey guys! Been losing hair for the past yearish? Bout a nw2 with some diffuse thinning. I’ve been on finasteride for 3 days now. So far, no results. No surprise there. My itching has kinda subsided tho so I’m hopeful! I’ve been on minoxidil and dermarolling for 1 month. As well as biotin, zinc, and b complex vitamins. Twice a week I take saw palmetto as well. I’ve also have improved my diet no processed grains or sugars. More veggies, fruits, lean meat, no fried anything, lots of beans and various nuts. While the diet change is forced upon me by a mutation in my body. I feel as if it will help with regrowth. I use selsun blue with aloe shampoo and once a week I put jojoba oil and peppermint oil in my hair for 2 hours. I work out 4 times a week and am very obsessive with this type of stuff. Lmk if you can think of anything I could add to my regiment suggestions are very welcomed. I’ll be sure to post my results here in 6 monthsish. Together. We can defeat our common enemy.

I know it’s only been 4 days but I’m still shedding the same amount. For some reason I thought it would stop shedding instantaneously. I know this is probably unrealistic just hoping I’m a good responder! Also forgive my horrendous complexion like I said I am also sick due to a mutation in my liver

Hello! Recently started duta. Been about 2 1/2 months. Where my hair was thinning it appears very slightly thicker. Hard to tell. I had a freckle which I used to gauge my hair loss. It was always visible 2 1/2 months ago. It’s now covered up most of the time. But by thin hair. So far optimistic.

What’s up guys almost been a year since I started treatment.
    Here’s my experience.
    Finasteride:
I used finasteride for 8 months.
While i was shedding like crazy every single day. My hair kept looking the same. Also it kept itching. As an experiment I took 5 mg of finasteride to see if it would stop the itching it actually subsided after a few days.
It made me nervous that since I was shedding so much I was actually losing hair despite not being able to notice.
So I hopped on dutasteride Last month.
    Itching’s better, But still there.
Sheddings not. I am shedding more hair then I thought humanly possible. And I am starting to notice it a little. While soaking wet a direct shot above my head I noticed would reveal thinning a few weeks after I made the original post. But while dry it’s literally impossible to notice thinning. I’ll attach photos of my hair dry and wet from a sky view and you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s peculiar. And worrying. I hope this is a shed due to starting dutasteride.
My hair is basically the same as when I posted earlier except maybe the thinning up top. Which I’m not sure if it’s changed because i lost all my photos from a year ago. Hairline is in the exact same place. I know that because of a freckle I have.
Side note: I thought maybe since I have a liver defect I was causing inflammation with my body due to sugar and alcohol. I got tested and foods that inflame me are: SUGAR really bad. Wheat, red meats, dairy
When I abstained from these for 2 weeks I had virtually no itching. I just have no self control. If you guys think it could be related I’ll try the diet again. I posted a few of my hair dry and 1 wet. Lmk what you guys think!
