Hope this is the right section....

Hi, can you please check the following link, as its a picture of my hair. I am wondering how long or even if you think I am balding? I have noticed the front of my hair has thinned a little, I am 27 years old.

I have ALWAYS had a very high forehead, and my father is 57 with his hair still, but he has very high temples/hairline too.

Your hair looks in pretty good shape over all its still thick. The sides have receded a bit but this could be a natural mature hairline and doesn't mean you'll end up bald.

Probably just a mature hairline. Does male-pattern baldness run in your family?

Finasteride (Propecia) is safe to jump on, just in case, but if you don't think you'll end up bald, then avoid if if you can.

Best of luck.

doesn't look like anything to worry about to me.

Keep an eye on it but don't over analyse otherwise you convince your slef you are going to be bald within a year.

May I suggest you start using Nizoral Shampoo twice a week, just as a minor preventative measure.

You guys are great!

My grandfather had a high forehead until he was 50, then he started to bald more. My father has a full head of hair and hes 57, but hes always (even at a young age) had VERY high temples.....

Z - is this the shampoo you reccomend?

Thanks,
that's definitely the shampoo that everyone on this website recommends. You can find it in almost any grocery store. It has actual, substantial scientific backing to it to help regrow hair and maintain hair counts.

Plus, it's a great anti-dandruff shampoo. It might dry your scalp out for the first week or two of use, but after that-- no problem.

Hairloss can be very sudden, as was mine. If you experience any more hairloss, then jump on Propecia as fast as you can. From what you've told me, it doesn't appear that you really need to, but who knows?

Goodluck.

it is indeed.

Use it 2-3 times a week - lather it upand massage into your scalp and leave it on for about 5 minutes, so it can penetrate your scalp. Rinse off, and use a good condtioner afterwards, as it does have a tendency to dry your hair out.

This shampoo will help control sebum production and potentially thicken your hair slightly over time.

You're defenitly at high risk for further balding. You may start to see overall thinning within the next couple years. Although your not at risk for any slick bald spots anytime soon, I would watch for general thinning on top and back.
