I have a hard time swallowing pills....I jsut received my dutasteride capsules in the mail...i tried to swallow them but no can do...so i just f***in bit into them and chewed them...the liquid inside tastes like sh*t but with a tall glass of water it goes down...

the medication will still work though??? not sure if its time release....dumb question i know but just checking...I think some meds are deactivated if chewed...

any tips on how to swallow pills let me know.....

The meds will still work if you chew them.

To practice swallowing a pill fill your mouth with water and then try to swallow it all at once... if you can manage that then put the pill in with the water. It should be floating around and then when you swallow it goes down easy.

I use this method to swallow my salmon oil pills(omega3).... those things are big enough to be suppositories.

If you are not comfortable swallowing pills, just chew them.

Floatingkeg, we all know where you're coming from when you say that Be careful and safe!

Regarding chewing pills as opposed to swallowing them, I would think that you could chew them with no added disadvantage? Or, maybe you could cut them in half with a pill cursher and then take the two halves and swallow them. It would seem that would be easier? When I was younger, my Mom always had me taking big, horse-size pills which were not the easiest to swallow :freaked2:

can't snort the dutasterides...they are capsules with liquid inside....i have just been chewing them and downing it with a large glass of oj...pretty much wipes the taste out better than water

Can't swallow pills at all?
My suggestion is to freeze your pill of dutasteride. when frozen cut it into smaller pieces with a kitchen knife.
