yeah, it seems everyone wants to say it is something else... when it effects 2/3 of all men...

people like to give themselves hope. they want to think it may be Telogen Effluvium because then then all the hair will come back to them in the course of a few months. but most of the time it isn't. just genetics.

does the hair that sheds from being on finasteride grow back? or should i say possible shed. just can"t believe it, you have to go back to my great-grandfather to find anyone bald in my family. of coarse very thin, fine hair is a trait.......go figure

if your great grandfather had it then he could have passed it down. it can skip generations, unfortunately. chances are that's where you got it from. it typically does grow back. it may grow back thicker than before and it may not.

yes, it does grow back for the majority of users

Ah kay, so any hair that's fallen out since I started taking finasteride, should theoretically grow back?

uhmm, male pattern baldness, why do people have such a tough time with this it seems?

Youngsters especialy find it hard too accept, most think "this cant be happening to me at my age".
This is one of the things that irritate me most on these forums when you see guys ask, is it because I'm in bad shape? :-x or come up with a question like would taking vitamin supplements help?
I've known since my childhood from looking at the men in my family that I was going to lose it but in the back of my mind there was always a thought like, "maybe I'll get lucky and it will skip a generation."

Bubka, Yes hairloss effects 2/3 men but if you look around its only about 3in every 10 men that go proper bald nw4+.

Jayman33, At least from your pics it looks like only a pro basketballer stood directly behind you would notice your hairloss.

yes S.A.F. you are right i guess, and i am tall. it"s not super bad yet and through the proper styling and can almost conceal it. im just very self contious about it now like alot of us here. just have to get on the finasteride wagon befor it gets any worse i guess and see what happens........
