Hello team!

Over the last six months I've noticed an increasing amount of my hair is ending up in my showers plughole and as I'm sure you'll understand it's causing me some distress. Initially I thought it waas falling out because it was quite long and I'd been straightening and blow drying from time to time so I shaved it off thinking this would sort it out. Not surprisingly this wasn't the miracle solution that I hoped it would be as my one inch long folicles contiue to leap like lemmings from my scalp!!
I think that my loss is still in a very early stage as people tell me I'm paranoid and that I'm worrying about nothing but I know myself that my hair is gradually getting thiner and begining to recede.
What I'm asking for is some advice on what sort of regime may be able to help me be it minoxidol, propecia or specific shampoos.
I recently went to the Advanced Hair Studios and was told that for two thousand six hunred pounds they could sort out my problem with lazers and a lotion (not minoxidol), I said I'd get back to them but I dunno if they're trying to rip me off.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Many Thanks

If you are sure your hair is thinning then you should get in meds fast. This is the right time. Dont trust other who tell you not to mess with medications at that early because you dont have a problem. Yes, you may not have a problem and that is good, so you start treating it so it never becomes a problem.

I would suggest you the big 3, and i am preety sure many people here will agree. Big 3 is propecia(finasteride), rogaine(minoxidil) and nizoral(ketoconazole). If you think that rogaine is big trouble applying 2 times a day, start with only finasteride+nizoral and if you see that you still have a problem get to rogaine. Or you could apply it just once a day every night.

Try to get some idea on how aggresive your hair loss can be. What about family history? When did you father or your mother's brothers got bald?
Back when i was ok, with only some minor not-noticeable thinning i got on the big3 for like a month, and then stopped it because everyone was telling me i was paranoid and my hair looked ok. Yes they did but now 2 years later they dont i have lost a lot of density. I wish i never listened to them. Trust me if you are getting worried now, try to understand how you going to feel when you see your first bald spot.

Oh and by the way dont even consider the laser thing. IT IS a scam.

I would personally advise that you leave the minoxidil for now, especially if your hairloss is still at an early stage, finasteride would hopefully stabalise what you have and maybe even regrow a little too, basically.. would you be happy if you had the same hair you have now in 5 years? If so.. just go for the finasteride with a shampoo like Nizoral first, you can add minoxidil later if things get worse. In my opinion Proscar is the best finasteride option due to it's price and the fact that it's exactly the same as Propecia when broken into 5ths, saying that.. if I'd had the money I'd probably have just bought Propecia for complete piece of mind. Anyway.. whatever you choose I wish you the best of luck.

I would be happy to ahve the same ammount of hair that I have at the moment in five years time, hopefully for longer than that!
So how does one go about getting propecia and how much is it gonna cost me?
Oh and is Nourokin a complete rip off?

Cheers.

minoxidil is for people who are not happy with how thin their hair is. Propecia is for people who want to stop their hair loss. Minoxidil will not even slow down your hair loss.
