Been losing hair in a odd pattern for over a year now started in about october 2012,
I haven't noticed a receding hairline just hairloss and random thinning, sometimes it seems like its not male pattern baldness, seen two dermatologists who seemed to think I was crazy that I thought I was losing hair, one brushed it off as telogen effluvium and the other said it was nothing and prescribed me Rogaine if I was worried told me not to use finasteride at this Early
Age 19 ATM but 18 when I first noticed the hairloss, blood tests conducted immediately after I first noticed were normal although Iron was considerably on the low end about 38 on a range of 30-300, its just been frustrating atleast with a receding hairline and whatnot hairloss seems gradual mine just seems so rapid and sudden, currently using rogaine and ketaconozole in the form of lipogaine big 3 and regenpure here are some pictures any thoughts, comments and opinions on my hairloss situation would be appreciated

It's definitely not nothing. The dermatologist who said it was should have his license revoked for negligence/incompetence. But you are right, that's not the typical pattern for male pattern baldness. Not all male pattern baldness sufferers have the frontal recession or crown thinning pattern. It is a dead give away, but just because you don't have the typical pattern doesn't mean that you don't have male pattern baldness. And at 19 you are just about old enough to take finasteride without much consequence. Could be diffuse unpatterned allopecia or Telogen Effluvium, or maybe it has something to do with your low Iron. Go see a hair transplant specialist, they can diagnose you and they actually know their ****, unlike GPs and dermatologists who don't have any interest in hair loss.

I would say you're diffuse thinning as well, take finasteride .. it's good that you caught it early and can possibly regrow/maintain.
