From 1 year to 6 months ago, I've been shedding badly, but it stopped.. and settled. Im a diffuse thinner with receded temples.

Six months ago, I started using minoxidil for my hairline. It grew hair on my hairline.

Four months ago.. I had an operation, fell off the motorbike.. Fixed a broken bone. From then on, I ceased minoxidil

Two months ago, I started Flax SDGs, Green Tea Extract, the top 3 IH regime basically.

In between I've been on and off diets tryna keep fit then having withdrawl symptoms.

PEOPLE IN THE PAST FOUR MONTHS I HAVE SHED HAIR SO FAST TONIGHT I STYLED MY HAIR AND COUNTED 180 HAIRS ON MY HANDS.

MY HAIR HAS LOST 70% OF ITS DENSITY.. WTF??

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? SO DAMN QUICK?

Taken from http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WS ... 10836.html

"In a person with telogen effluvium, some body change or shock pushes more hairs into the telogen phase. Typically in this condition, about 30% of the hairs stop growing and go into the resting phase before falling out. So if you have telogen effluvium, you may lose an average of 300 hairs a day instead of 100.

Telogen effluvium can be triggered by a number of different events, including:

* Surgery
* Major physical trauma
* Major psychological stress
* High fever or severe infection
* Extreme weight loss
* Extreme change in diet
* Abrupt hormonal changes, including those associated with childbirth and menopause
* Iron deficiency
* Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
* A new medication"

The shedding started after you had surgery? Then you might have Telogen Effluvium. If you do, don't worry, Telogen Effluvium is a temporary shed and the hair grows back.

Could it be possible I shed hair all over my head from stopping minoxidil on my temples?

If this is possible, will the hair grow back? Not on my temples where I used the minoxidil but my head?

you can't shed all over your head from stopping minoxidil only at temples, you should only lose hair at the areas that aren't getting minoxidil anymore.

Sorry, misread it as was speed reading everything..
thought you were using minoxidil generally. They're right about that...might be sparked the trauma.
I've had a couple of conditions sparked after operations...not hair loss though.

You could have hypothyroidism, low thyroid.

The problem with this is that even standardized testing sometimes can mis-diagnose individuals as not having the condition but when in fact you may have it every so mildly, enough for your hair to be effected amongst other things.

You may also have candida..

Both of these are a long shot but hey...

TheDarkShadow,

any reason why you're not on finasteride or dutasteride?

revivogen perhaps, but it would be weaker and unproven, and only works where applied.
