I think you should go for a shorter style first as you might be able to pull the look off, at least the middle is still there.

You are lucky but need to get on Propecia stat. A hair transplant and not getting on finasteride would suck when it moves back again. The sooner the better I would say if you want to keep what you have. 22 I would say it's moving quite fast.

I have heavy temple recession and will soon do a FUE transplant myself. Just go for it. It will look smooth but don't overdo it on graphs. I don't think you need to many for your case.

also i have been on kirkland minoxidil for some time and found its done nothing
5%

and even if i have been on it for a year once stopped will lose all gains( cant be doing with that)

also as i said i dont think my receding hair will proggress to much further if its hereditary as my dads hair is exactly liek mine

thanks for the help and votes

cheers guys

at least there is some hope for me

Even if he fills in the balded areas you will have to keep going back as the hairloss advances.

Hey you really are an idiot, you know? How many posts here did you read before telling him that nonsense?

Uh I over-reacted but I'm sick and tired of people telling others to not get a hair transplant because you'll just end up losing all your hair anyways. It's ignorant and not helpful.

I would never fall in a hair transplant if i were under 30... even under 35 is dangerous..

Think that you will eventually continue losing your hair and how do you think you will look at 50?? You don't have donor area for the rest of your life.

Also, even after a transplant, you need to continue using Minx+Finasteride, for the rest of your life. I would think it twice. Having hair just for a hole, is not all in life. Girls are not all in life. Maybe you could consider shaving it off..

Remember, Alvi Armani is one of the best (if not the best) in the world, specialized in hairlines, and he tells you to continue using minoxidil, even after a transplant.

Read more man. hair transplants are not a cure like people usually think.

What difference does it make if you get a transplant at 22 or 35? As long as you plan for the future and don't go to dense it shouldn't matter because the donor hair isn't going to change significantly. Personally, I would wait a couple more years to see where HM is going before getting a transplant.

Cherish, IMHO, the degree of hairloss you have now is not that big of a deal.

Yes, you might look older, but not old. You still have a nice head of hair. It might make it harder to get 18yo girls who are still attracted to young boys, but most girls your age and older probably wont care at all if you act with confidence.

Just try to stop the hairloss. If you still have that same head of hair in 5 or 6 years, you'll realize that it really isn't bad, and it isn't going to slow you down.

i have been training for 6 years with weights(naturally) and have been thinking about going for a mens health magazine or something along the lines of that ( i will post pics to show u) if you like
but in all magazines the 1st thing i look at is the hairline, same in every day life

I totally agree with you man...

I think that this forum is not the best place to ask if he should or should not get a hair transplant.

The best person would be one of the few Honest hair transplant Docs out there. There are a few, that will tell him, that they will never do a job on him, since he's too young and will regret it in future. A lot of guys in this forum are sick (mentally sick) and I'm sure that if a 18 year old guy ask if he should get a hair transplant o not, they will tell him to do it.
